Athletics are becoming more apart of childrens lives. More girls than boys. There have been a record number of girls playing sports nowadays. The standards show its a 1 in 3 difference. But there's a downside. Although girls' participation in organized sports is on the rise, the number of girls staying physically active outside this arena is declining. Both boys and girls face barriers to being physically active, but for girls the challenges are more numerous and complex.

Food on the run

Despite countless warnings in the past years the world economy has hit hard. Wheat corn and rice prices have really gone up. They have more than doubled in the past two years. Economic growth may stop if this all continues to be a problem along with rising oil costs and soaring energy costs. So what are we all to do just sit back and let this all just happen? We really need to do something about this because I know I dont want to have to pay something as outrageous as five dollars for just a loaf of bread.

On the rocks

It is becoming more and more popular for people to make their own brew of a sort rather than going to the breweries themselves but one of the best places to go for a good clear taste is Denver. This is a place with 46 breweries which only produce the drink for their own bars but the biggest one from all around town is the coors breweries. Denver was dubbed the Napa of brews and is the most tourist friendly. There are many other great breweries in the US and all of the world but many of the greatest can be found in Denver. So where else you wat to go?

General meets his match

Senators seemed to be quiet on top of Petraeus and Crocker. If things were going so smoothly over in Iraq then why were they sio reluctant to come home? The senator that was so on top of the two was senator himself Barack Obama. He bombed them with a quiet impressive number of artful questions. He asked two main questions one of which is what we should rather do to sustain the fighting in aIraq and another to why is Iran such a threat to Iraq and yet the leaders get greated with such ease? So what are we really doing over there just fighting or playing little mind games between one another?

Fever pitch

People in China are still going mad over the olympics and where they are taking place this year. Many people dont like anything about the olympics and many are taking it so serious enough that they have made several attempts to try and put out the torch as it has been carried by. Now is it just me or arnt the olypmics supposed to bring us together? The olympics were created to bring people together for the love of sportsmanship but it really doesnt look like thats really happening.

Cult Chaos

The Texas cult is still having problems with the police. Cops still cant really be sure on what to do. The Prophet himself is sitting in prison. All morman of this "cult" have all attended the same church the Fundamentalist Church of Latter Day Saints (FLDS). The way it was ran was rather odd the main focus was with "celestial marriages" (no man with fewer than three wives can attain the Kingdom of God, the FLDS believes). It all deals between religion and law so dont think anyone is sure what can or is going to be done.

First Big Test

Todays people are really not taking up to well to cleaning up the environment. All three Candidates in the presidential campainge run have all taken great issues in the environmentbut mainly towards carbon emissions. In the last three dozen campaigns climate has rarely even been stated. The Senate is preparing to debate climate ligislation. It's way too late for George W. Bush, who delivered a speech on April 16 calling for incentives to reduce carbon emissions but far too slowly and with little to ensure that the cuts would actually happen. So after all this you would think something would be done by somebody to change something with the concern of climate.

Post Card

Hunting has always been something big for the Oroqen, but the memories of hunting are all they really have left because China has been trying to break down the rest of the hunting groups in society. This group had roamed the pine and birch forests of China's Greater and Lesser Xing'an Mountains, living in hide-covered dwellings called sierranju that are nearly identical to the teepees of North American Great Plains tribes. The Oroqen way of life continued largely unchanged until the middle of the past century. Their traditions are eroding due to modern society. This is really a sad thought when you think that this civilization of these people have lived a certain way for so long and are being forced to change.

Clinton aide quits over race row

One of Hillary CLintons advisers had resigned after having made that comment that Barack Obama would not be in the lead of the race for the White House if he was not black. Geraldine Ferraro, a vice-presidential candidate in 1984 that she was stepping down from an honorary role on Mrs Clinton's finance committee. She had told US network ABC that her remarks had been "spun by the Obama campaign as racist" but were not.

Israelis kill four in West Bank

Israeli commandos have opened fire on an unmarked car in the West Bank town of Bethlehem, shooting dead four Palestinian militants. Those killed include Muhammad Shahada, 48, a senior leader of Islamic Jihad, and Ahmed al-Balbul, also 48, a leader of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. Two others killed were identified as members of the Islamic Jihad group. Hours later, Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip fired at least four rockets at the Israeli town of Sderot.

Pakistan

A total of at least 24 people were killed and over a thousand were injured in a car bombing not to long ago that took place at the heart of the city Lahore in Pakistan.
There was another bomb that killed a couple children now how stupid is it that no one cares whos life they take as long as they think they did something when all its doing is ticking people off not scaring them. These people keep blowing up places and killing people and yet they think their cause is worthy. I still stand to laugh at them.

METALLICA!!!

Over the years Metallica has been one of the most influencial bands known to man kind. They have brought about many bands one of which being one of the leading metal bands and my favorite so much I got a tat of their symbol known today as TRIVIUM. Without Metallica there wouldn't be many great bands out there in my eyes. They are the 7th biggest selling act in all of music. From their first album released in 1983 the band is still together and playing today. These guys can't be beat and I don't think anyone will surpass them in the history books.

The Power of Music

Music can make such an important impact on a persons real life. No one really ever seems to understand this. Ive played the guitar for three years and it has really changed who I am today. Most people dog on music and say like it shouldn't really be what it is today but I haev a completely different view. Music is the revolution to this world, it can bring joy, it can bring hate, it can conjour up just about anything you can think of emotionally. Music brings people together, but it can tear them apart. We should never let something so amazing just die out we must keep this going for the younger generations its just to amazing to let go of. Now for the people out there that say all music is evil obviously you have never heard a song that has really spoken to you. Music changes who people are and can help get them through things with the lyrics if they really mean something to you but here lately its like music has become an epidimic to start new ordeals. Never let music influence what you do to a certain degree, like if your music says go out and kill or smash don't do it for heavens sake. Music is meant to sooth the savage beast not entice it. Let the music flow and be the battery to your soul.

The first video is of me playing Of Wolf and Man by Metallica and the second one is just a random one I made but haven't quite perfected. lol. Sounds like crap because of how we recorded it but you can still somewhat tell what im playing. The Metallica song cuts off half way through the solo though and the other one I didn't play all of. Haha

Major of a sort

We all get kicks and giggles that people go online and talk trash and that you cant make any money what so ever well I'm here right now to prove you wrong. There are players of pro-circuits that make money in every tournament they play in. I am one of those players I am ranked somewhere in the top 200 players of the MLG Pro circuit for Halo 3. I can play in any online or state wide tournament and compete for cash and many other things. Not everyone can do this but I garuntee that with alot of pratiec anyone could do it. I mean you have to think about what it takes.
1. Great hand and eye coordination.
2. Great ammounts of concentration.
3. You have to be aware of your surroundings.
4. You must be able to think very fast and come up with quick strategies.
Now these are just a few these people don't really get to video games. You have to have a good ammount of thought put into playing them whereas this can help in your schooling.

I also run with one of the best MLG teams around. We recently just knocked off in an unranked match the number 25 seed in the world. Quite interesting no? So for all die hard gamers out there don't let people who say it doesn't pay to play. Well go out there and prove them wrong.

What's the BANG deal?

Everyone is always dogging on video games and what they are good for and what they do to our children well get over it. There have been many Scientific studies that have proved that video games can be a very good thing for the younger generation. Studies show that children who play games concentrate more in school than those who dont. It is also a great help to hand and eye coordination. Most studies show as well that children are passing with higher grades that play video games. Now for those of you that take videos games to the next level and go into the real world and run around like if you get hit by a truck your going to respawn in five seconds well I've got news for you. You are not coming home. The point to all this is to not take video games so seriously but know that they can provide us with some help in way unless you take things out of proportion.

What's The Real Cost?

Doesn't this mean anything?
We are fighting a war but what is the real cost to us rather than the cost to anyone we don't know from somewhere we have never been a world most of us have never seen and yet we still go and kill. But what are we really doing?


And yet we just keep fighting?
